The Cannabis Industry Will Flock To Las Vegas This Week For MJ Biz Con

18 oct 2021

MJ Biz Daily’s Las Vegas cannabis conference is next week and we are looking forward to attending our first event since Benzinga’s Miami conference in February 2020.

The landscape of the legal cannabis market in the US has changed since MJ Biz’s cannabis conference in December 2019 and we expect to learn more about how operators were impacted at the event. The conference is expected to attract thousands of attendees, more than 1,000 exhibitors, and will feature high-profile cannabis executives and thought leaders.

Australis Capital (CSE: AUSA) (OTC: AUSAF) will be at the conference and is a company that we are excited to meet with. During the last year, the US cannabis company has announced several major milestones and we are bullish on the direction the new leadership team is bringing the business.

From constructing state-of-the-art cultivation facilities via ALPS to entering new markets in the US and abroad, we believe that Australis has been nothing short of an execution story in 2021 and consider it to be a misunderstood opportunity that is trading at a discount when compared to other operators.

2021 has been a banner year for Australis and we believe the business is well positioned to increase market share and capitalize on new verticals in 2022. Below, we highlighted 5 of the most significant developments that were announced by the company so far this year and believe our readers should be aware of these milestones:

  1. Acquired a majority interest in ALPS which continues to sign new clients in markets all over the world and recently launched APIS, a recurring revenue service offering.

  2. Appointed Terry Booth as CEO who has played a key role in the advancement of the business so far this year. He was previously the CEO of Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX: ACB) (Nasdaq: ACB) and adds important expertise to the company

  3. Acquired Green Therapeutics (GT) which has already proved to be an accretive transaction by forming revenue generating partnerships and by securing access to unique genetics

  4. Formed a partnership to construct a facility for Belle Fleur in Massachusetts As part of the agreement, Australis will secure premium cannabis to scale the production of its branded products in the state

  5. Acquired and launched LOOS, a cannabis brand that is positioned to capitalize on California. Over the next year, the company plans to launch the brand in other states

In Las Vegas, we plan to meet with Australis’ leadership team and look forward to catching up with the management team. We believe the company is in the early innings of a major growth cycle and expect it to report ramping revenue in future quarters. We consider Australis to be an operator that has significant potential catalysts for growth and will keep you updated on how the story advances from here.
